ABOUT Dr. Mendieta

Born in Los Angeles, California, Dr. Constantino Mendieta moved at a young age to his parents' homeland in Nicaragua. His interest in plastic surgery emerged while observing his uncle - a plastic surgeon - reconstruct the disfigured faces of war victims, restoring them to near-normal appearances. Marveled by these skills, he returned to the United States to complete his secondary education, focus on emulating the work of the man he admired, and actively pursuing his ambition.

Dr. Mendieta has received numerous honors and awards, including being named in the International Who's Who and graduating Magna Cum Laude. He completed a rigorous general surgical residency at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, and then continued his plastic surgery training at the University of Miami, adopting specialties in both general surgery and plastic surgery.

Recognized for his knowledge and skills, Dr. Mendieta has had the distinct privilege and opportunity to further train under world-renowned leaders in the plastic surgery field. This took him to Brazil, Edinburgh, and England for the completion of his fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons. He then went onto California to study under one of the world's greatest facelift surgeons and work with internationally-respected figures in Beverly Hills.

Dr. Mendieta also completed a fellowship in facelift surgery in Beverly Hills, California, and then in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the breasts and facial surgery to rejuvenate the eye area in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Mendieta was one of a select few chosen to complete an aesthetic surgery fellowship at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts. He then traveled to Paris to complete advanced training under world-famous breast surgeon Dr. Louis Benelli, where he learned how to minimize scarring from surgery during a breast reduction and lift. In addition, Dr. Mendieta went to Brazil to train under Dr. Sampaio Goes for the same surgical techniques.

Dr. Mendieta has attained world-class skill in facial surgery, breast surgery, and body sculpting. He is extremely well-versed in all aspects of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. His emphasis on patient care and attention to detail has earned him the trust and respect of his patients and colleagues. Dr. Mendieta has developed a national and evolving international following. He has been featured in numerous national and international media outlets, and was named one of America’s Top Surgeons for five years in a row, since 2002, by the Consumer Research Council of America.
